Well it had to happen- Last night with the leaves on the roads and nice slippery drain covers I had a low speed spill.:( Fortunately I wasn't really hurt (concussion off curb) but the fairings and my clutch lever got wrecked. The FI symbol has come up on the display, is that normal after a drop?

My mate said he'd look at it and pick it up in his van but I'm wondering whether its better just to get the aberdeen suzuki dealer to pick it up??

Cheers

Chris

Sorry to hear that, had a wee off December last year myself. Low speed spill on a slippy road. I know it's a daft thing to suggest, but is your kill switch working and in the correct position?

If your plastics are wrecked then you're probably going to want to go through insurance anyway. Plastic is expensive! I'd be tempted to get the dealer to come get it and put it all through insurance. Might hurt a bit at renewal time, but it will take the pain away just now and you should get a decent repair.

Sorry to hear about your off. As said, try the kill switch (it's caught me out a couple of times) then also check if the clutch switch is still attached. It's a wire that attaches to the clutch and allows the bike to start when the clutch is pulled.

Hey folks thanks for the thoughts, yess kill switch was in right position and need to check on the clutch but with the lever gone can't do much- I really need to learn more about my bike! If you have a drop does the FI usually appear?

The pointy SV is a bit cleverer than the curvy one, in fact, it's a bit cleverer than some of the riders :smt003 I don't know what the fault code's for, though. Maybe it comes on after the tip-over sensor? It'll not start with no clutch lever anyway, can't pull it in for the kill switch.

Sorry to hear though, hope it's not too expensive to fix. Tradition requires that we all come out with cliches about any landing you walk away from, etc, but it's true.

Both times mine has been over the FI light has come on, but both times it's cleared by switching off the ignition and back on again.

My pointy has been horizontal, cough cough, a few times.

Never had a problem with the FI light though.

Glad you OK!
