View Full Version : Potential there or just plain silly?
Just been browsing ebay and came across this,
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2003-SUZUKI-SV-650-S-K3-UNFINISHED-PROJECT_W0QQitemZ190172650986QQihZ009QQcategoryZ98 08QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I dont know what to think, could it look ok if it was red? It just looks like a clown bike and i wouldnt be seen riding it as it is!

I think the dodgy looking bike in the backround should be a warning to us all!

HPI clear and I have a certificate to prove it
then later ' i belive this bike is hpi clear but i cannot garauntee this'
also 'i have two keys and alarm fobs however i havent seen them since i had my kitchen done '
excellent.
Love the comment about resetting the needle "if he has time" - not sure where he's likely to find that procedure in the workshop manual. So basically its going to need a respray (?£250) new tacho (?100) set of locks (?150) indicators + whatever else he forgot to mention. I would be worried what other vital components he lost in his kitchen during the rebuild. Personally wouldnt bother and just find one that's been looked after, although maybe worth going for at £1k if there's no reserve.

Yuk, but...
Would the red powdercoated forks and pillion peg hangers look good on a red pointy (06 model with black frame)?

I think with the right plastic- ie, black or white- and converted to naked, that could be qiuite good. But at the moment it's an epic failure. Punkjumper on SVRider has a curvy with a red frame and, if memory serves, black or dark green plastics, it looks ace.
Asked him if he'd take £1000 just got a rude message back
"PLEASE TELL ME YOUR JOKING!!!!!
YOU THINK £1000 WILL BUY YOU A 2003 BIKE?
YOUR DREAMING MATE!"
- fine he can keep it. Not really a good way to treat a potential buyer.

Lol!
So hes tried to make a streetfighter, somebody should mention painting things red does not make it a streetfighter!
Then hes bolted on a load of shiny stuff off of ebay, and in the process of fitting it knackered the tacho.
What else has he buggered in the process?
£1000 will get you a 2003 bike, a crash damaged one :p, which I'd be far mroe comfortable buying than this heap.

The buyer has also recently bought Rossi helmet and visor stickers. Must be a power ranger.
