Has anybody tried riding 2up with only 33bhp as i have an sv and it is restricted and would like to ride a long distance so motorway riding will be necessary. Will i have enough power to reach 70/80 with a total weight of 140kg est / 22 stone i think thats bout right?

Yes mate you won't notice much difference at those speeds, air resistance is the strongest force so 70/80 is comfortable enough.
Mine's gutless above 60, getting to 60 takes noticeably longer 2up.
Much easier to wheelie off the line 2 up though!

you'll be fine.
I had a GS500 that was restricted and I travelled from Lincoln to Salisbury and back again with a friend on the back. It didn't miss a beat.
It'll give u good practice of learning how the handles with two up.

Oh I didn't mean it struggles, it cruises at those speeds comfortably, just its no fun, not enough power.

With my 33bhp lump of joy, I have covered milllleeesss and milllleeessss with maria on the back, full tank o' fuel and a loaded topbox. And a loaded tankbag.
Still hit 80 and cruised at that speed healthily, with enough in reserve. Just plan ahead, and you'll be fine!
