In the Midlands , just been over the Lickey Hills & snow is pretty bad , roads are really slippy as not gritted as not forcasted ?
Luckly I was in the car , passed a guy on a bike , stopped to see if he wanted to leave his bike & I'll give him a lift , he was a Italian on a Ducati Monster which was carb icing & kept stalling , he said no he would be fine , I hope he was as the road was well dodgy , if I was on a bike I would have stopped and parked up ( then again I 've binned bikes before in the snow and I've learnt by the experience)

About 1" and still snowing at M1 J27 too, unfortunately the tyres on the Mini are a bit poo in the snow to say the least. Still, gives me an excuse to spend some money on some new ones :cool:

just come down from northampton via bedford on the A1, i forgot to take my waterproof boots, was soaked though boots/trousers/gloves, it was like having hands in bowl of ice, bike decided it wanted to give a false alarm telling me it was running too hot, yeh right, seems like there must have been a short on the sensor.

The gazebo has just snapped with the weight of the snow , doh only was a tenner , if it had forcast heavy snow would have put it into store.

Got tomorrow off work , bl##dy typical , I bet they will close the office early due to health & safety !

don't you just love how accurate the weather forcasts are ?

If you out & about on a bike take care , there is no way I would ride mine in this weather ..

Nice, we hardly ever get snow down here. I miss the big snow storms on the 70's and 80's getting sent home from school, snow ball fights, ice slides. Doing my paper round and making fresh tracks early in the morning.

Took the bike out this morning (0445) and the car park had all fresh snow still!

Was a tad cold but could not resist going round in circles this morning listening to the sound of the snow before heading off to work! :D
