paid for a micron system the other day, payment is shown as uncleared and it says to allow 7-9 days for payment to clear.
why this? its always been instant before.

My brother had this the other month, turns out e-cheque was used and not bank transfer. (even though he didn't select it!)

Got scammed by eBay / PayPal. They did nothing to help me.

Be wary.

No problems here either... bought stuff last week and today, seemed ok

After much button pressing I got through to a real person at PayPal this morning.

When people were buying items off me on eBay they were being told the "seller cannot accept payments at this time".

Turns out its an eBay problem thats being worked on, but only affects some users.

i found paypal useless when i got in touch with them, they are ok as long as you dont want your money back.

I just got my second claim back from Paypal, for over £600 between the two, I'd say they were OK with it but their claims system's blatantly designed for complexity, to put people off or make them screw it up. But at the end of the day, it's worked out.

I've seen a few of these "uncleared" payments lately though, not sure what that's all about.

I must admit we had £2000 taken out of our account via Paypal (and we didn't have that much in it) so now just pay by cheque/postal order - a bit of a pain.
