Hey guys!!

I'm back and just about back to my old self.

Thanks again for all the well wishes.

Anyhoo, I wasn't aware at the time, that my wee adventure was captured on camera!!

So this afternoon, I had one of the BBC crew come round to see how I was doing and get consent to air the footage they have.

So next April I'll be a movie star.:D

I promise to remember you all when I reach the dizzying heights of Z list celeb status. ;-)

I sure hope they captured my better side.:smt120

It's a program called helicopter heroes it's been on BBC1 for the past few weeks, presented by Richard Hammond and yes it's about air ambulances

Helicoptor Heroes is specifically about the Yorkshire Air Ambulance that came to Richard Hammonds aid when he crashed the rocket car at Elvington (York). They also came to the aid of our damsel in distress, Melody.

You gave us all a fright to say the least.

The camera man was all over the place at the scene. At one point, he was doing close-ups of the front of my bike and then shooting through some grass! :confused:

Then, he got a good clip of all of us getting a good hold of you as we rolled you to put you on the spinal board. No-one knew where to put their hands, oh the blushes :smt103 Some, it has to be said, enjoyed it far too much :lol: :lol:

You had to go and crash on one of my favorite ride out roads. OK not your fault that it was that road, I know you would have rather not done it. But.....




To get a bloody helicopter with film crew. Now the whole damm world will get to know just how nice and empty the roads are round there and start to use them.

You have just ruined one of my afternoon bimble routes, it will now be full of morris minors with picnic. or tractor riding harley types. No room for a hoon anymore.


Get yourself back on two wheels soon. Revisit that road and face any demons.

Usually they tend to follow up only those in more serious accidents. My accident wasn't serious enough to warrant a follow up, but they've decided I'm an 'interesting combination', and want to film me some more.

They still need to get permission from my manager and the hospital 'press officer' to film, so it most certainly will not be till after Christmas.
