Well, the last few rides have left my fingers like blocks of ice...I have Triumph Hard Carbon's at the mo...which are great (for summer).
Looking on here the Spada WP's seem to get a good review - just wondering if anyone can suggest anything to compare it to?
Need something for winter only - decent protection, and fifty quid max...
thanks!
Billy.
Alpinestars jet road are good, I've got a pair, they are Ride best buy, more expensive but good quality.
+1 for Jet Roads. Best gloves I've ever had for winter. Twice your budget though, so maybe only buy 1?
summer gloves & hot grips for me last year
i have HG panthers(?) i also have a pair of boxing gloves the only differance is the boxing gloves are red

Thanks for your suggestions, I'll look into the Jet Roads.
I didnt think that heated grips would do much - maybe I'm wrong, never used them, but its the windblast from riding along that freezes my fingers...my palms and rest of my hands are ok...
Besides a decent set of grips are about 40 quid...enough for a set of gloves me thinks..

MAN you are SOOOOOOO wrong, heated grips are the best thing you can invest in (other than heated gloves... Gerbing do good ones of these) Its like holding onto the radiator when you get home with numb hands, it keeps them moving and helps stop the pain getting too much, as you dont have to warm them back up.
heated are the way to go!

How do Alpinestars jet road gloves fair in the heavy rain? Do they leak at all? I've had too much experience with '100% waterproof' gloves that leak when it's wet. Ta.
Not entirely related to your question but gloves aint gonna stay waterproof due to the amount of strain put on the stitching, this causes the membrane to seperate and water gets in there making your hands soggy.
I've been using Held everest gloves for a while now and they're ace! I live in Cumbria so regualarly see temps in the minus figures and they've done to job very nicely indeed!

Would not recommend Spada's WP gloves. Bought them a few weeks ago and so far used them twice. They are really warm but at the same time so bulky you can't fell your clutch and controls well enough. They were brilliant when I went for a longer ride on a motorway but when commuting in London they made me loose my confidence as I didn't feel I could control the bike..
I ended up using my summer Frank Thomas gloves with £3/pair glove liners I bought at SnowRock and so far it's been OK on a short commute.
i have spadas wp gloves and theyre great for me warm and as dry as a pair of gloves can get i think martian that youve just got to get used to the feel of winter gloves cant say ive ever had a problem they do give less feel than summers but thats the nature of the beast i think.

You're probably right. I personally just could not risk filtering in London rush hour traffic without being able to control the bike properly.. I'll probably invest in a set of heated grips :)
could be a good solution bud if you dont like winter gloves.

I have a 10 mile city commute and was getting by with race gloves and heated grips. Last few days was getting a few numb fingers and I would be screwed if I was having to do distance so........
Bought a pair of Spada WP's cos they appeared to be the kind of race glove/winter glove crossover I was looking for.
Knuckle guards and plenty of protection like a race glove, easy to get on and off quick, easy to get cuffs under my jacket for the SV riding position.
Not too thick and I have fat heated grips anyway so control not an issue.
Also they had a ton of techy labels hanging off them so they MUST be AMAZING.;)
Bad points (so far), "ENFORCER" is stitched along the fore-finger, unfortunately not the middle finger.
£45 from local bike shop.

ooh just the thread (if no one minds a revival)
Could anyone recommend me a good winter glove, I want something that's actually waterproof and something that's warm (bad circulation). I also want it well made as due to my bad circulation I tend to wear winter gloves most of the year.
Currently I'm stuck between the wideley recommended spada enforcer, and these halvarssons (http://www.hideout-leather.co.uk/motorcycle-gloves/halvarssons-excellent-motorcycle-gloves) leaning more towards the halvarssons at the mo as I gather they are wellmade kit just hoping they'll be water&wind proof enough

These look well made & waterproof but a bit too pricey

cheers wyrdness, got 3 to decide between now :)
Only problem now is I can't find anywhere local that stocks the stuff as I always have a nightmare getting good fitting gloves. Nearest halvarssons stockist is harrogate :(

I deleted my post as it looks like the Defender Pro's aren't made any more.

Just about to post my Spada WP Enforcers back to where I got them from, only used them a dozen or so times and the left hand thumb leaks water :(.
As a glove they were OK, but not a great deal warmer than my Richa summer gloves, plus they have a massive wrist area/gauntlet that doesn't easily fit underneath the sleeves of my jacket(s).
If you can stretch to £70 I would highly recommend a pair of Weise Pacifics - http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/271/28764
Really warm and will last you ages!

Had a pair of these Spadas for a few months now.
Top protection. Cheap. £45?.Little short in the fingers due to bunching of the linings. Been waterproof for me (20-30min soakings). Ok for warmth. Worst thing is as said above is the cuffs. Too short to stay under my jacket sleeves after they have "worn in". Back to my lovely Arlen Ness summer gloves (with heated grips!) great long multi adjustable cuffs for outside or inside the jacket.
7/10.

Halvarssons, end of :)
They have replaced the "dry level" gloves with a new one now, I would get these in no time.
