Ride sounds good, when the temp hits 25c. curvey svs. Went on or put together several rideouts during the last year that were within easy reach of Peterborough. Were in Peterborough are you?

Hi Peahead (are you really green, then?:D)

We're in Rugby, so not a million miles away from you, and have done a couple of things with this motley crew.

This is us parked up at Sycamore Harley Davidson in Uppingham, just before we set off to do the Rutland Ring in July.

Yeah, I'll go for a ride out any time. From anywhere within a couple of hours of Cambridge to anywhere at all.

It'd be nice to meet other sv riders :)

If it's the carbs out of sync, I've got a carbtune. But I've not used it yet so not too sure how you use it (I'm still on the rear of the bike!)

:smt119 I know that the rear of a curvy is pretty but..................

Peaheads bike is injected. Sounds like it could be alarm related.

yeah i think it is, alarm immobiliser, i think something is not lettin the immobiliser turn the fuel pump on or something, i think my alarm box has had it, i think its clicking inside, is there a way to dissconect the immobiliser and alarm, or even just help me take them out completley, its jus i aint all that mechanical, and if someone would like to share the light give me a text or something, i dont expect it to be done for free

Have you checked that the batteries in the alarm fob are ok, if so, try resetting the alarm/immobiliser as per the manufacturers instructions. If none came with the bike try looking them up in the net, or ring them maybe.

Petevtwin650....ok ok, I'm still working on the back ofthe bike. And if kwak dealers get their ar$e in gear, I might just be able to fix the shock on!

Peahead, is it an after market alarm or fitted by manufacturer? If its after market and I can download the wiring diagram from somewhere (or trace the cables with my meter) then there is a chance I can help

Tools no problem. I ain't no mechanic though. I am almost 25 years experienced in security systems though. Tracing wires isn't much of a problem.

Not sure where this thread is headed but I'm not a million miles from 'bog-horror and have been known to set the speed camera on the A45 off :-)

Not going to be taking the SV out till they've stopped salting the roads though. By then I hope to have got some straighter forks in her.

I'm not in peterborough but do end up there about once a weekish to visit the olds.

If you looking for an abandoned bit of tarmac in the area thers not much...but there is a nice new ringroad just the other side of market deeping.....
