No prizes for spotting it is a Kawasaki wheel ;) It's a mechanical 'worm gear' speedo drive, so can't be anything too modern?

This isn't a competition as I don't know the answer, just hoping someone in SV land recognises it. I can make a guess, but I wanna know for sure ... the wheel code Enkei F-1301 will hopefully give the game away to someone?? ... I tried a bit of goggle-fu, but to no avail!

Na, it is not a GPZ wheel, this takes two discs for a start (GPZ only has 1) ;)

it also has a BT010 wrapped around it - my mates baby GPZ has a 110 section tyre, which is only available in their BT45 "classic" range. Could be one of the early 6s though - early ZX6R or ZZR perhaps?

I think it is an early E model ZZR (not as early as a D model, but the first few rounds of the E model say 92-95?) ... but not sure ... like I said, whoever has a Kwack with a similar looking wheel can check the number stamp and all should become clear?!?! :)

If it helps the disks off it are 298mm in diameter and slightly offset (i.e. in the same sort of way the curvy SV discs are offset) ...

Anyone got a ZZR600?? :)

See my thinking:- http://alain.rouge.free.fr/6/0411zzr600.jpeg

You're right about early ones, but don't later GPZ500s have two?

... ZZR ...
That'd be be my guess.

There is a GPZ500 E model that has twin discs. It was around in Europe long before the UK got twin disc models in 2001. A couple of years ago I had a 1996 P regd GPZ500 winter hack that had twin discs as standard - it was a parallel import from Italy.

That wheel looks like it may well have come from a ZZR as the discs on a GPZ don't fit that close to the centre

Can it really be as old as 92-95?
If its a Kawasaki wheel it would have rotted away by now.;)

Can't say fairer than that.

This will not be much help as my knowledge of Kawasaki wheels are limited to the ZXR400L and I'm sure its not from one of those.

But I'm intrigued, why do you have a Kawasaki wheel that you don't know which model its from?

I'd agree that its an E model ZZR front wheel. I have that bike sat in the garage (1994, E3), but its a bit dark to go have a look now. if its not, then its a bloody close match! Its not a GPZ wheel, ive had two of them and I'd recognise it, they have a different design of spoke.

EDIT - can take a pic tomorrow if you are really desparate to know and you can decide for yourself.

That would be great :batman:, either take a pic of it/the code on the spoke, or just look it up and write it down ... cheers

OK, finally managed to get a picture in the light. Just took one of the spoke with the serial number on , the rest are the same as your pic...
932

Hope this helps man. its hard to get a good pic with it still on the bike.

Cheers, dude, but it is the ‘ENKEI F-1301’ serial number I was after. The 17xMT3.50 is the size (a good sign they are the same) but not really enough to definitively say it is the same wheel ….

Don't worry about taking another pic if it is a bit tricky, but please visually check/note the ENKEI number for us.

Finally, presuming it is the same ENKEI number, what year is your ZZR? I can then look up which years the wheel was the same as your bike by looking at part numbers on www.buykawasaki.com :)

Thanks for you help here dude :)

SNAP - its the same serial number. Didnt notice that one at first as it was hiding behind the fork. My bike is a 1994, but i believe the design stayed the same from 1993 to the end of production (so it will fit any E model ZZR). I do know that a ZX6R F wheel and axel fits my bike, so it follows that your wheel should alss fit an F model ZX6R (but the spacers may be slightly different).
