Hello all, I'm a newbie who hasn't even got himself and SV ... yet. The deed will be done within the next few days, I've seen 2 that seem to fit the bill, but just before I take the plunge a couple of Q's please.
I'm about to invest in a 650N and, lurking around the site for a few days, the big majority have S's, is this just cos' of the wind protection the S offers, or is there another reason the N isn't as plentiful on the site? (I've got a Blackbird so the SV will generally be for the shorter runs so protection isn't a concern).
Is there anything I should be looking out for with an SVN apart from the usual - history HPI, etc? Both the bikes I've seen are pointies (gettin used to the technical terms already)
Also I'm in North Yorkshire and, maybe I've missed it, but are there rideouts or get togethers in this part of the world? Plenty of good roads.
I've considered all sorts of bikes to keep the Bird company and over the last few years I've had everything from Fireblade to R1150RT to XT660X but having test ridden the naked SV it seems to be just what I'm looking for and I can't wait to get one in the garage!
Finally, congrats on a great site - it must be good given the number of threads running at any one time. Be prepared for loads of dumb Q's about tweaking.
