Hi All,
Got ready for work this morning, all togged up, got out to the shed and pulled my bike out onto the drive, it felt a bit weird, hopped off to check and shut the doors, a bloody big screw in my back tyre, gutted!

fortunately suzuki assistance AA cover is great, they came out and patched it for me, but now obviously i need a new one, so heres my question:

Roughly how much should it cost me?
(i'm ringing round later today to try and get it sorted tomorrow but thought i'd get some experienced advice before I do because i'm a numpty :))

Firstly depends how many miles your front has done. Might be worth getting a pair. Also if you want to replace with the exact same tyre.

Around here I would expect to pay £90 -£100 ride in/ride out for the rear.

If there's life left in the old rear, and the screw was in the centre 2/3 of the tyre, you may well be able to have it repaired. If it's repaired by taking the tyre off the rim, and fitting a proper patch from the inside it's rated as high as the original tyre :)

Budget £20 for the repair if you ride in...

Hmm, well i've only covered 1540 miles on it so the front should be ok at that shouldn't it?
also what are the stock tyres for an SV650S K6?

Thanks for the replies

barely worn, only picked it up in october and covered said miles rather carefully really, will check the depth properly later but not very worn

pretty sure not, whatever the stock is for the bike, Dunlop of some type I seem to recall, maybe 207s? either way i'll check when i get back on it and go home but its just over a month and a half old and completely stock heh.
