My bike that is! (It's also technically today as I haven't gone bet yet but that's just splitting hairs!)
Stripping her right down so's I can fit GSX-R front end, rear shock, under tray, new lower, PC, the Autocom intercom I bought at the NEC and some other bits and bobs!
Just hoping I don't forget how to put it back together!
While it's naked I'm gonna measure up to find out how much fettling a GSX-R rear sub-frame will need to fit!!:D
I hope it doesn't go horribly wrong.
BikerBilly, if your free tomorrow daytime your more than welcome to join me.

Only just seen the thread matey....unfortunately I have to work today, otherwise I'd be there brandishing a hammer to help!
Hows it going anyways?

I'd already thought of this so took my camera!

Dunno yet, will look at finances, I've got a K5 600 shock but I know the Thou's shock is more suited to the sv!

An update for you all.
It was suprisingly easy to strip it all down, I didn't need the Haynes manual until I had to remove the locking nut from the stearing head stem! Made things harder for myself by dropping the forks through the yokes a bit (On my brothers suggestion, not sure he knew that I was changing the yokes as well. He's a mechanic by trade and does most of the work on his own bike, so shouldn't have made a school boy error like that!)
Anyway, I stripped the front fairing etc of to make sure I had as much room to work as possible, dropped the forks out and put the GSX-R forks in place. I haven't fully tightened the head stem nut up yet, I'll do that when I'm up there next.
I used the SV's top bearing and the GSX-R's bottom bearing (managed to get dirt on the sv's bottom bearing and couldn't be arsed to clean it of. Will this be ok?) I gave these a liberal coating with red grease (Is this ok or do I need to use a different grease?) and left it like that until I finish it off another day.
While I had the bike stripped I fixed my alarm, removed the snow plough (what a mare that was!) and indicators and removed the snorkel.
All-in-all a very productive day and should be able to get it all sorted on my next day off.
I have a couple of questions for you org'ers though.
1. How do I go about sorting the speedo sensor?
2. What settings should I set the forks too to start with ?
Will post some photo's up in the photo section a little later.
Regards
