By my doctor!
Had the operation to reconstruct my Cruciate Ligament yesterday, so I'm not allowed to drive for six weeks! I've never had a general anaesthitic before and was apparently very funny (first time for everything) whilst coming round! All I remember is my entire face itching like buggery and refusing to have the oxygen mask on. Knee strapped up in a splint for a week to ten days, gonzo painkillers and no prospect of any riding until the spring at least. :(
The Doc took some pics for me, this is what my broken ACL looks like, it's the white bit lower left which should go all the way to the top right;

I think Mrs Bluepete is already fed up with me! I can only walk or be on my feet for a max of 20 minutes per day, so the sofa is in for a work out. Good job I bought a PS3 last weekend! Happy Christmas!

COD 4 Modern warfare and Ratchet and Clank. Can't wait for GT5, March next year. Thanks for the goo vibe!
Sweet pic!
You'll be up and about in no time - after all, you're only missing the bad weather, rain, snow, hail, dumb drivers and cold fingers... have a rest and be back on track for the North/South '08...
... I want to remain the only one on crutches that attends y'hear.:kiss:

Quite frankly BP, old chap, I think you are having a laugh....
You are just showing us a bit of knee to try to stay under cover. But you are blown: you have been "banned" for six weeks at EXACTLY the same time as another member of your profession....
FESS UP! You ARE Meredydd Hughes really, aren't you!!!

I started riding my bike roughly 2 months after my ACL/PCL/Collateral reconstruction. It was a bit sore, but your biggest obstacle will be getting enough bend to get your feet on the pegs/levers.
I had to have my knee in a splint for 2 months officially(i stopped wearing it after 6 weeks) so it least you've got lucky there.

It's OVER. No longer office boy, back on full duties, exactly six months post op. That's the minimum the H&S dept will allow.
I know I'm shouting, but I don't care, I'm a bit drunk (already), and more than a bit happy. \\:D/

Oi, it is about time you got your lazy backside back to work.
Now don't go to looking for trouble in Salford again. you don't want to hurt yourself again do you.

Better class. I lived off Devisdale Road for 6 months. Certainly not better class round there. Just considerably wealthier
