Looks pretty handy, & not far off race pace.

Remember reading about that in a mag, it was stoners 07 bike and he was about 4 secs of race pace, with abit of practice who knows what he could do.

That's pretty cool.
Do you think he'll do anything about it? I mean take it forward and give it a go for a season?

Jaysus.
Trailing the front brake all the way into the corners too.
Certainly looks like he knows what he is up to.
I would say there's no way though he would compete though. Very little to gain, and a whole lot to lose.

4 seconds off the pace is miles! its the last half a second thats the hardest.

i was watching that and trying to figure out why he looked so relaxed on the bike :smt017
then i figured that hes not jumping around on it and moving about on the seat much. makes the ride look so smooth!

Well duuhhh. :)
The impressive part of this is that he has no experience of such a machine and nothing to prove. He's not going to go hell for leather, he's not trying to qualify on pole, he's not trying to earn a ride for next season, he's just out there riding round, keeping rubber side down first and foremost and enjoying the machine. And just 4 seconds off, and that's assuming the bike is at race/quali tune. I'm not saying he'd be as quick as a pro GP rider, no chance, they're at the limit. But I don't doubt for a second that, if he needed to, he could go significantly quicker.
He's smooth, I'll give him that.
I think he had a bash on one of the 990's a few years ok, but wasn't as quick, & this time Randy Mamola gave him one to one tuition for most of the day. Even so, I doubt alot of bike riders, even regular track dayers would be able to go that smooth/fast after just one day, even with Randys help.
Just goes to show that some people are just made to be able to do things at high speed (reactions/co-ordination/huge balls etc) Just like Rossi hopping into a rally car & kicking some of the pro drivers asses. I wonder how Lewis Hamilton would get on...
He was nice and smooth wasn't he. I really don't think we will see Michael Schumacher back in F1 or see him in GP's. He's too old and has too much to lose and nothing at all to gain.

Very very smooth. He made it look easy! I bet he's dying to get on an SV now

Especially impressive after seeing Hammond show just how difficult it really is.
