hi guys,

can anyone tell me where to get new front footrests & brake/gear spiggets?

the ones on the SV are original & 12k miles worn
I would like to get metal footrests (like already on back) and metal spiggets.

cheers

Alan

spiggets - possibly a local term, sorry.
the bits that stick out at the end of the rear brake & gear change lever - the bits with the rubber on them

Suzuki dealers in the US can order replacement rubber pieces for the tip of the gear shift pedal, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same for you.

I don't think the brake pedal uses a rubber tip, but is bare serrated metal.
If the tip of that pedal is shot, I'd just replace the pedal and have it done with.

The rubber covers on the footrests aren't available as separate pieces on US parts catalogues.
What I'm going to do for my K7 (now that it's tucked away until the road salt vanishes) is replace the original footrests with all-metal serrated (my preference) ones from a late model GSX-R - do some cross-referencing in catalogues that sell aftermarket sportbike footrests and you'll probably be able to tell which bikes' footrests will fit.
