help on where to find fairings

Hi there,

I had a little tumble this morning while breaking on black ice. I'm alright, but my bike got some nasty scratches on the right hand side - especially the lowe fairing (front).

I own a SV650s (K2, 2002).

Any idea where I can order fairings? a quick search on google just kept on bringing up Ebay or FAQ's.

Failing that, maybe I should just go through my insurance :)

I'd be tempted not to do anything other than gently sandpaper it flat and use a bit of touch up paint to get it looking half-decent. Not to tempt fate, but I find if you chuck it down the road on ice once, it'll probably happen again some time before you'll sell the bike. As to new fairings, breakers yards should be able to help you out, but they'll still be fairly pricey and may well not be mint. Also, depending on how popular your colour is, you might have to buy a different one and get it resprayed. Of course, you could consider a new aftermarket fairing if you're prepared to get it sprayed.
