Not only do I now have an NUS card, but I just handed my first assignment in at one minute to the midnight deadline!
Frankly, at this stage, I don't care what mark I get. Just getting the bleedin' thing out the door with enough words in it was achievement enough.

One minute to the deadline you say.....a real student would have cut it closer than that. :)

My finest hour at uni was handing in an assignment with almost exactly half as many words as it was supposed to have, and getting bonus marks for "brevity and economy of words" :smt003 Just because I didn't have time to add in all the handwaving and flannel.

Tut tut tut, thats the wrong attitude. You should have left it a week after the deadline and not cared about anything, i should know, im in my fourth year of evading taxes.

Ah, so you're one of the few people on here who's not paying for my course! Everyone else has a vested interest, so ought to be doing their utmost to help me get through it ;)
When i was at uni the place you handed coursework in shut at 2pm whether there was a que or not, if you were not there before 1 the que was so long it wouldnt get handed in.
I still have an NUS card somewhere, i kept it as mine was valid for 10 years ????? and the week before i finished uni i accidently broke it and got issued a new one ;) Never actually found somewhere worth using it though.

My favourite Russell Brand quote, reposnding to a Nurse telling him that 'patience is a virtue'
"and so is brevity my dear lady!!"

I think you should post a weekly progress update on here so that we know that we're getting value for money:D
What is it your studying, hopefully not the clingon language or art?
We dont want to be paying for your course for you to then not get a job you see!

I have to say the worse bit about being a student is the loan....I paying about £115ish/month of mine....I should be clear in 4 years....
The whole loan thing is con, the intrest rate is more than most think, grr another reason to hate the government.

Sod that for a laugh.....I'm glad i managed 4 years at uni without any loans, grants and borrowing. I think my girlfriend pays about £100 a month for her 'tax free' :rolleyes:student loan.

Posted at 12.33 that was. Any student worth their salt would still be snoring. On somone elses living room floor. Wandering what that god awful taste in their mouth was.
Er... congrats... I think...
If I could be bothered with all that I'd do a course or something... However, glutton for punishment I am not. :smt003

Well done and hope you`re enjoying it... I`m considering applying for a secondment at work to start a degree end of this year. Would take me out of work but its a 2 year degree crammed into 8 months with a guaranteed job at the end of it, would be hard work me thinks but might be worth it.
