This time of year it is really hard to be 'good' with not overindulging ... so much temptation ...
Bearing in mind we are not even truly at Christmas yet, how successful have you been at dodging the mince pies and Quality Street to date?

I'm diabetic so I used to always have to be really careful what I ate... But this year I've changed my medication method so I've got a lot more flexibility, so for christmas dinner I'm going to eat until I'm sick. Then I'm going to have seconds. :smt077
(and I'll still weigh 10 stone the day after )

If I eat too much of that sort of thing it makes me fart for England.

I've been very good, but Pete is a BAD boy!:D
Poll now added.
I have been practising over indulging for Christmas for the past 11 months. So I have a head start and am around 2 stone heavy now than I was this time last year.
New Year resolution. Lose the fat. My kids taking the pee out of me is depressing me.

Well I might be having to flog off my old leathers and textiles if I carry on.
They will come with fully repaired nether regions following any gaseous emmissions.

After reaching the Dizzy heights of producing 56,480 tins of quality street I can confidently say I will not be consuming any of purple tinned variety of sweet this christmas......wehay cured of chocoholisism.
However I will be drinking vast amounts of lager and maybe a box or two of mince pies and plenty of sprouts.....ooooo what a horrific combination..which will affect my waistline not a lot....bring on Christmas dinner!!!

I bought 2 big tins of heros (you can keep your smelly QS, cadbury's rule ;)) as/for xmass presents about 3 weeks ago ... I am quite proud of myself that they have remained unopened :takeabow:
... to be fair I put them with all the other presents in the spare room out of harms* way!!! :D
*i.e. out of sight, out of mind! ... luckily I have just got back from a bellyful of x-mass meal, so even though they are back in mind now, I am too stuffed, so they are safe for another night at least!! :D

Ok so what has been a good month, perhaps 6 weeks now of completely stuffing my face at any and every opportunity (said with a pile of 'heros' wrappers on desk beside him - well they didn't all get eaten an now need to be finished off ) ... and due to coming and going/being away, and having been carrying injures (a massive reduction in exercise) ... things are starting to show/I am paying the toll ... my what were reasonably loose trousers are now uncomfortably tight ... and 'belly is gonna get ya' ... :smt089
To see the relaity of what I have done and what I am gonna have to do to get back in shape, I stood on the scales this AM ... I was disgusted, amazed and in a way quite proud of the achievement ... +1st2lb ... ... that is not good - its gonna take a while of dedication to shift that!!!:smt090
So as of tomorrow, back to sensible food and back down the gym!!:smt079
I'll allow myself to falter on new years eve, :smt003 but that is it for what I estimate 3+ months of self control and exercise!!
Was it worth it??? .... perhaps

Well I'm gonna hit the gym *so he says* back to training and eat less crap....
I have a good way of dealing with it, which is not buy any of it, if you don't buy it then there is none eat!! Got to my parents OMFG there is choclate and candy everywhere, its hard to resist.
Just as bad at work, choclate every where too as well....
In the job if your late, it goes ur meant to buy dougnuts....haha well I told them I would bringing fruit in as the fat *******s need it! They didn't like that someone, menitoned harming my bike I can't print what I said them:rolleyes:
I'm lucky at the moment, not weighing a great deal, but if I don't start training again I will put weight on eventually, leathers are expensive!
Resistance is futile.

I'd say at plus 1st2lb in 4-6 weeks, this is 'later'!! :smt088 I really have been extra greedy I know, but that is still a bit harsh .... I remember the days when I used to be able to eat what I liked and . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . :smt003

"... drink what you like and still climb into your 26 inch waist trousers and zip them closed. Then you reach that age -- 24, 25 -- your muscles give up they wave a little white flag and then without any warning at all, you're suddenly a fat b*****d"

Well I am a total angel!
I started my diet the week before Christmas, and in two weeks I've lost 6lbs! I feel very proud, but will be so smug when I go back to work!!
We didn't see anyone over Christmas, so didn't buy anything extra in, had a large Chrissy dinner, then no tea. My daughter did make the usual cake, and I'll treat myself to a piece tonight.
We did go for long walks every day, and on Christmas Eve there was alot of fog, and I took the best photo's ever!
Anyway, off to polish the halo!

To be fair, I have been very fit for most of my life. Only started to spread out after my accident which stopped me exercising at all. Being 37 then and almost 41 now, I can't complain really.
i spend a few days over xmas at my mums and ate and drank what i wanted. now back to reality and having to go to shops to buy food or not eat. going with the not eating at the moment lol. got no sweets etc in so sitting munching on an apple just now.

Why start a diet just before xmass?!?!!? :smt103

That has been my trouble too ... I have been carrying a few injuries for a while now and cumulatively they have reduced my exercise quota ... you then kinda think 'feck it, every time I just start getting fit again, I 'urt meseln and therefore can't exercise properly for a while ... and back to square one ..
That said, it is a pretty simple formula ... if energy in > energy used then you put on weight!! ... simple answer, if you exercise less, east less!!! .. that is never the way it works though is it!!

Fruit is nice, but it doesn't hit the same 'spot' does it!! ;) To me fruit is something you have on top of/with real food not a substitute!! ;)

'Sacred Heart' is the name of the hospital in the TV series 'scrubs' ... this diet was obviously written by comic geniuses, not real doctors!! :smt005
