Gang initiation

Anyone else heard about this?

Apparantly this is a gang intitiation that has been taking place in Manchester and London and there are warnings that it is soon to catch on in Birmingham.

The new member of the gang has to travel in a car through town at night without any headlights. The first vehicle to flash at them is chased and once alongside the new member has to shoot a bullet through the car window from a handgun. The intitiation proves the new member is prepared to take the risk of killing someone.

Makes you feel safe eh? Don't flash your headlights at anyone driving through town with no headlights on! Or if you do carry a gun and shoot them first!

Well thats good then. Except what if these spoof/fake scare stories just gave every violent gang the bloody idea? Had I received the email I'd have known by the melodramatic wording that it was a load of nonsense, but I heard it second hand. What idiot makes these things up then spreads them around?

Couldn't get into the Pallasades shopping centre in Birmingham today, a gang of three stabbed the security guard and police cordoned it.

in an attempt to get this topic vaiguly back on topic, 'gang' initiations arnt really a big thing is this country, mostly becasue there arnt many 'gangs' in the sence of the bloods and crips and the mafia.

there are groups of kids of estates who go around doing crime, robbing, stabing, TDA, etc but theres no gang affliation in the traditional sence. They are more like 'crews'. any of you from south west london will know about R.O.E. and WK (just by the graffiti around Roehampton/Kingston/New Malden if nothing else) they are crews which you belong to and you get into them by being with them, growing up around them. they are area and contact based. no beatings or killing cops to get in.
they know who you are because theyve all grown up together and done crime together from an early age.

so....

its worrying that people will believe this s*** about 'gangs', it just dosent exisit in this country. we dont have crime like new york in the early 80s or Rio etc.

When crack starts to take a hold on this country, which it will, then we will get proper 'gangs' with proper initiations becasuse crack makes people very rich very quickly, unlike other illegal drugs. (crack is very different to cocaine, the high is different, the down is different, the crave is different. it shouldnt be said in the same breath like crack-cocaine.)

ive never done hard drugs, been around them, friends use them, seen the effects etc.
