an early wakeup call from my two kids. 05:30 and a bit of a hang over... so at 08:05 I went back to bed for a couple more hours sleep. I didn't get to bed till 02:00am as was busy burning a new PS2 game for the darling cherubs.

Presents, Neck warmer and Wooly Suzuki Hat.
two packets of Miget Gems.
Crescent Suzuki Racing for the PS2.
bottle of whiskey, and a creat of lager.
So the only Drink and Riding I'll be doing today will be on the playststion.

Chin up.

I'm doing my laundry, listening to planet rock and sorting my tools out. Later I'll not be eating turkey.

Not everyone is sitting round a roaring fire and tinsel tree waiting for the queen and family quiz games.

I'd have a beer with you but I'm on call.

Got the laundry done, tidied the tools, decided I need another tool chest. Found one in the sales, searched around for some stuff to flog on ebay to pay for it, including a fully working fruit machine - though I had to make a few phone calls because I forgot where the keys were hidden from when it was used as a money box.

We actually bought them through e bay, but they haven't got any listed at the moment..............the Xmas break I expect. The rear sets were £119, but we also got a full set of replacement levers and pegs. Total cost £169 delivered.

Unfortunately, there was an added charge of £32 for VAT and handling in this country, but £200 still isn't too bad.

This xmas has been difficult to celebrate for many reasons which I will not go into. But I was touched to receive from my unofficially ex wife a bottle of Cacharel eau de toilette and The Shawshank Redemption on DVD which happens to be one of my fave movies.

A totally unexpected present was received on xmas eve when I got a call from a certain member of this forum. I had offered to assist him with a situation some months ago, one that I knew was causing him a lot of upset. mY contribution was minimal in truth and at the end of the day it could not be used.

However for me to receive a xmas greeting call largely based upon my standing up for him, touched me more than I could say at the time.

He knows who he is and I am pleased to say I would help out again without a second of hesitation should the need ever arise again.

Cheers mate.

I got a cool twirly thing to hang in the house/garden from my bruv and a jacket and some money from the parents (money's going towards my new camera which I should be picking up in a bit ).

My best friend n her family (who I generally spend Christmas dinner with) are all skint at the mo on account of doing up their gorgeous old house... which would, in all honesty, be close to falling down if it were being held up by the love we all have for the ol' place.
Cos I'm a scummy student too I'm also a bit on the skint side...

... so we've decided that this was just a rehersal and we'll actually have Christmas in February. ;)

But not collecting any more crimes or paperwork whilst there!

I was the shift Acting sergeant so had to brief the DI, the DCI, The DCS etc.

Quite sad to think that he apparently died around midnight on Xmas eve, but by midnight Xmas day we still didn't know who he was.

Sad that no-one had reported him missing, also sad that no-one phoned up to say our Tom/****/Harry hasn't turned up for his turkey & sprouts yet.

I'd like to think that at least on Xmas day someone would miss me.
