Seems Kylie got recognition for her contribution to music:confused:
Australian singer Minogue said she was "almost as surprised as I am honoured". January 2008 marks 20 years since her first UK hit, I Should Be So Lucky, reached number one (what a classic).

Who was on the judging panel - Stock, Aitken and Waterman?

Michael Parkinson becomes a Sir for doing a job that paid him well to speak to celebs :confused: Why?

Michael said on the news they must be giving them away ha ha. But i dont mind as he is from my home town. Good on him.

Kylie... I dunno. Just because they are well known they get recognition. It seems we are going american with the "we love celebs" crap all over. Sigh :mad:

ThEGr33k, Michael Parkinson loves telling people he was born in Barnsley and is proud to be a Yorkshireman but lives in Bray, Berkshire.

"He is a keen cricket fan, and in 1990 hosted a World XI team against Yorkshire" That's treason!
