Do any Orgers play ?

If so, then where ?

My favourite is one I've only just found called PKR (pkr.com) 3d Interactive but I can also be found from time to time at Poker Stars (pokerstars.com)

Come and find me sometime & we'll have a giggle.

BTW - whilst in the real world I'm not averse to a modest stakes game, online I only play the Play Money tables.

I've played in the past. Did ok, made a few hundred quid over a few months, just a half hour here and there. Began to get tiresome, and I consequently started to win less and less to the point where I was breaking even over a week, so I just stopped and cashed out the winnings.
Good game, though. Requires real concentration.

I used to play but not any more. I know some people who actually make a good living of playing on the net. 3 of them log onto the same game and rip the others off. All 3 of them sitting in the same room, thus knowing what hand they have. They just play the odds and hike the stake when one of them has a good hand. So be careful out there :-)

I used to plaay a lot on william hill poker. I avoid the cash tables, and play tournament tables - entry fee of anything from £2 to £20 and anything from 6 tp 1000 players. I prefer tournament play because you only pay the entry fee and the house fee, you can't lose any more money during that game.

I avoid free games because when there is nothing to lose, people play stupidly.

My best result was a satelite tournament a couple of years back, I paid $5 to enter the fist round, got all the way to the final and won $4500 (I think I finished 20-something).

Three bits of advice - only play one table at a time, concentrate at all times (i.e. don't try to make dinner and play at the same time, even if you are out of the hand, you can still pick up plenty of info), and don't drink alcohol while playing ;)

Yeah used to play quite a bit, and for what was quite a lot of cash to me given I was a student at the time. Mainly played on PartyPoker, found that it was the most profitable in that (being the largest site at the time, don't know if it still is) it had large numbers of fish willing to donate money if you played sensibly tight.

I know that some of the online poker providers used share back end applications, and maybe still do, so you could be playing against others who use a different client application.

Not sure if its still the case, but on willhill poker if you had a problem with someone at a table being overly offensive in chat (as in rude, not as in playing aggressively :p ) you had to contact the company that ran the poker application. Same thing if you got disconnected and couldn't get back on your table, you had to contact the host company.

Ah....I may go and play a quick game now :)

How annoying, on all the ones I've used you can just turn user chat off either entirely or on a person by person basis.

I play, but not online. Usually a tournament between some friends once a month or so, £10 buy in that sort of thing. I wouldn't really trust a computer not to cheat...

Very excited about this post as I have just learnt to play....well sort of. Not played for real money, still trying to work out the hands. But I have been playing on the Xbox, and its quite good fun, once I learn the strategy I would like to play for money but not much though.

Once I learn to kick ass, maybe we should have a SW&S poker night, squirrel, what do you reckon?

Have played a bit in the past. I have an appreciation but I'm not really any good.

Only play(ed) Texas Hold 'Em. Started playing No Limit SnGs on 'stars. Managed to break even over 50 odd. Then moved to micro stakes Fixed Limit. Moved up a few levels (still all micro). Tried to make the move up to 'Bonus Whoring' but didn't really have the bankroll, nerve or skill. Ended up with accounts on various sites.

Yes there are lots of sites that all use the same back end. They are often referred to as "skins". PokerStars is (or was) the only 'Big' site not to be a skin.

The 'computer' doesn't cheat. There is no reason for them to do so. The site is guarenteed to make money without manipulating anything and a LOT of money it is they make - so why risk it.

People getting together to cheat others does I'm sure happen. However it's not as easy as you think. You can't normally make multiple connections to the same site from the same IP and you can bet the sites run analysis of to spot collaboration.

I'm not good enough in many ways to play live. I have poker friends that would eat me for breakfast. So a little here and there for fun but I know my place.

Overall I'd agree with sinbad's experiance.

Sure could do with taking some money off a different bunch ;)
