View Full Version : Back to work
:(
Oh well, back at work *sigh*. Nothing to do yet though as the site doesn't officially open until Monday, so I've raided all the left over chocy tins, got meself a brew, and got a full day of t'interweb surfing infront of me
This does however mean I'll probably end up on Ebay buying crapola that I don't need
:smt024
Any one else back to work today?
I'm back at work aswell.....wishing i could be at home spending the whole day on Xbox Live, before it brakes again tonight as it cant cope with all the people that got Xbox's for Xmas :(

First day back here, too. Only been in the office an hour and could quite happily go home and crawl back in to bed.
Anyone got any good tips for avoiding the first day back at work blues?

Well, I've tried doing some work for a couple of hours and can officially confirm that it didn't work and I still want to go back to bed.

With regard to " Back to work blues" I have found early retirement most advantageous, but I suppose somebody has to keep the wheels of industry turning:D:D:D:D

Move to Scotland where the 2nd is a public holiday ;):D
I was working Thurs, Fri, Monday my laptop bag was packed with
a few DVD's
a USB Freeview DVB stick
a pair of headphones
a Bike magazine
a Two Wheels magazine
Then it turned out to be quite steady and I never touched any of them, seems a lot of our customers decided to work through this year as well.
Well I'm off home for some dinner, and think I'm gonna come back armed with the Max n Paddy DVD.
P.S. Does my new avatar show how bored I am <<<<<<<<<<<< lol

seriously, how hard was it getting up this morning?? About an hour after my alarm actually went off, I opened an eyelid and vaguely remembered some annoying noise having interrupted my sleep. hmmm, maybe I should check the clock...
Thankfully everyone seems to be off sick today (or are they really?! I heard this morning that it's the no.1 day for sickies ) so noone noticed me being late...
Only going back to work on Monday...but I have been home for the last 15mths so it will be a huge adjustment...
I just hope the A2/M25/A13 commute isn't as bad as I remember it being...
Yeps, I'm back today as well. Early in fact.

Oh what fun it is to ride on a 71 brake horse SV650 lol
i dont start back with monday, so taking advantage of long lies. will need to start practicing getting up earlier which means going to bed earlier. i was up til 4am on new years day waiting for daughter to come home. then got up at 9 and slept on sofa a few times during the day. went to bed last night about 3am and didnt even waken til 11. early night for me in the hope that i can get up before lunch time.

Yup. Book the next two days off work. That's what I have just done. All of a sudden doing the first day back seems easy.

Officially I am not back to work until April 4th. I am on my 3 months paid leave. However I owe the company a few 'additional hours' so I may or may not be called in soon. Lets just say I won't be calling them to drag me in, in a hurry. Cause I've got a lot of stuff planned for my holiday. One being the resurrection of Suzy that has waited an entire year. I know whats more important and it certainly isn't working!!!!!
I'm now finished until next Monday.

Back at work today! Back on the org!
Managed to actually get the bike out TWICE in two days :) Took a New Year's Eve bimble up to The Ponderosa. Then took the bike out New Years day to try and clear this "head cold" ... still didn't work so took yesterday off.
