I don't know what good a 7 day ban is going to do. It should be much longer, IMO, as she's obviously incapable of driving.

Some people don't know that certain roads have minimum speed limits
i.e. The blue speed signs at the Dartford Tunnel is the minimum speed limit

It's the re-test bit that caught my eye as being the important part - she clearly can't/is too scared to drive, and as such needs to learn again.

The article mentions her GP. surely he should have recomendeed her be banned or forced to take a retest in the interest of public safety, as is the case with elderly drivers. Her car is probably a lifeline for her as she has MS, but someone should have addresed this problem ages ago.

She should be banned for her own safety/health and the rest of us speed freaks. I have a natural fear of going slow.......:)

She has to retake her test as well, so chances are she's off the road anyway.

She probaly took her tests in much easier times, I would be suprised if she succeded in a retest.

Given todays driving test standards...

Pah, she'll pass it easily. Slow speeds, bad driving, thats all you need to pass these days.

I doubt she will ever pass again, as she will need to go on a dual carrige way on her test, and o fast A road to show she is competent. Which she isnt.

It is a quallified drivers responsability to know the highway code. Especially motorway laws.

Oh yeah don't quiz me ;-), I'm just saying it is the drivers duty.
