I was gonna say Ronin before I saw what you had put.

Taxi (French film, English subtitles) is also a damn good (verging on better) watch.

what i want to know is, when they do a bike chase scene in a film, why the hell can everyone see that said bike is a v-twin but it sounds nothing like one??? Don't they have any experts in the overdubbing suite??

Lol, a good one is in the Matrix on the Duke, right sound if I remember correctly, but it has about 150 speed gearbox, same in terminator 2 on the crosser.

French Connection is excellent but what you've really got to know is that much of it was real, they loaded up a car with a camera and went out one morning, no closed roads and no permission. The cars and people you see swerving out of the way aren't actors or stuntman, it's real people. When it comes on next, have a look at it knowing that and makes it look really scary.

Blues brothers chase was funny.
Going to watch Ronin now, I liked that chase, and Taxi & French Connection.

I do enjoy a good car chase :)

No one has mentioned Bullitt yet! Jeez! You all wrong. Oh and there is no Audi in the Ronin chase, is a BMW. And another thing, how does a crappy Peugeot keep up that BMW - realistic, NOT!

There's a simple answer to that..........................because the BMW is being driven by a woman:rolleyes:

Luc Besson (class act) was involved in both Taxi and Ronin.... I'll get my anorak!;)

Taxi 2, had more proper chases. Never bothered with the Hollywood remake of the first one:thumbdown:

Bullitt gets it for me though, as decades later it still looks and sounds amazing.

What about the second Bourne film - the bit in Moscow I think, that's pretty good. The third film in New York's not bad either

+1 for The French Connection.

I love the way the cars are driven in Ronin though, twitching and scrabbling for grip like BTCC cars, as opposed to hanging the back end out 90 degrees round every corner Dukes of Hazzard style. Maybe because ex F1 fella Jean-Pierre Jarrier was doing the driving.

But Popeye Doyle is the coolest!

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses...hit it!

Classic film

Ronin is good but by far it is bullet closely followed by the great escape (Steve Mcqueen on that bike brill ).By the way bud who did the stunts that they would not let Mcqueen do in the great escape and bullet died resently, sad loss.:(

The Great Escape good enough for you? You've got Steve McQueen doing all the riding apart from the famous jump which as Airfix says was done by Bud Ekins and chasing them in a bike and sidecar you've got...................
Bud Ekins riding and Steve McQueen in the chair manning the machine gun!

Legends the pair.

Must be going blind, or watching the wrong clip. I didn't spot an Audi.

Bullit might have been great in it's day and I can understand people holding it up for what it was at the time, but looking past that to just the 'wow effect' and I think it's been outdone time and time again.
