ne 1 know if a sv rear will fit to a gsxr srad 97 model? or u think i should just take my sv one off and see if it will fit then put sv back together again?

the 99-02 SV shock would probably fit, people certainly fitted SRAD shocks into SVs. the Swingarm I'd doubt would fit from either year without fairly major work. Could be wrong though...

It won't bolt on, bet you a pound... But anything can be made to fit with a little imagination and maybe a bit of grinding and welding.

So Northy, you still wanna play with a GSX-R rear subframe??

Well, probably not to fit the subframe but the rear plastics etc interest me, and having the frame to work with would be helpful to check sizes etc... I reckon the GSXR rear would look great on the curvy.

maybe a bit of grinding and welding.

And maybe a little hammer....

That would depend on the price ;)

After near on 300 miles of motorway, I turn off onto a roundabout 5mins away from my house. Im leaning over then about to lean upright for exit and what can't i see in the dark? Slippery s**t thats what and so the road tears my bike to f**k while i slide away in my new leathers and day old lid that gets smashed. So here's pics of my bike before the slaughter

and a question i need answering. Can i fit a 2006/07 GSXR tail unit to my 2007 SV650 and if so, will i need to do any work to the subframe or anything? No point in going standard again.

cheers

I think you'll definately need to do work on teh subframe, probably quite a bit tbh... Very different bikes. Can't access the pics but it sounds nasty

Apparently someone on here makes a rear subframe so you can mount the new gixer fairings on the sv, then you just have to fettle the front fairings a little!

I think the subframe is just for race panels though, not OEM plastics.

Should still be a lot easier to get the OEM plastics to work with that sub-frame than the sv's as it'll have the same mounting points, wont it?
