The first one is awesome, gives a good impresion of speed and lean angle aswell. Your knee isnt even sticking out! Its just there, scraping cos its got no place else to go

Blue, once again i am in awe, you are my hero

One can always hope!! :D

I probably just didn't like the smell of that/those Jorden bike/s in front!! :D

I can’t remember if I did get past any or not (at that particular turn), but by the looks of that photo, I was being a bit ambitious to say the least!! :D

To be fair, I sometimes take a wider line to 'square' the corner up and get deive down to Graham Hill, I might have not been trying an overtake, just setting myself up for a stab at GHB? No idea!?! :D

LoL, lets not get carried away here!! ;) ...

Besides, I don't think I am patient enough to be a teacher ... ...

I'd be "Just brake deeper into the corner, you are loosing masses of time there ..." ... if they didn't really implement it ... I'd say again, "You really do need to brake deeper" ... and if still no improvement ... I'd either get a bit shirty "you are not listening to me are you!!" ... or just give up and let them do their own thing!!!! :D

I've decided, that since you will be employing whips, that I shall be learning to ride faster on my own

From where I come from, a man with a whip is a very scary prospect

to be fair blue when that photo was taken it wasnbt long before that 'jordan bike' as you put it ended up up the front(IIRC he didnt get 1st place but was very damn close) of that lot after starting from the back of the grid.

And your point is???

BTW if he started at the back of the grid in that race (how can you tell which race it was?), he did well to get to 5th part way into turn 2*!! That is quite a feat … bearing in mind the front guys will be trying the hardest they can/going as fast as possible too and he would be what - starting 50m -100m?? behind the front row, and needed to get past 20 odd bikes in what can only be a 300m?? run, that has to be one hell of a getaway!! :D If only I could launch like that  (I really struggled on my starts that day (that is what let me down I feel), but then to be fair it was the first time I had ever tried to 'race start' that bike  (I've always been rubbish off the line anyway!!)).

*to be that bunched up still, it had to have been taken on the opening lap and that looks like Druids (turn 2)!?!?

Ahhh … that’s nice of you to say alpinestarhero {blushes} (I'll give you that fiver later!! :D)

But is he really ‘that’ great!?! ;)

Think about it …

Yep, as things turned out I didn’t beet him all weekend, but I qualified 0.2s slower than him (it was the first time I had EVER used NEW tyres on the bike, it’s gonna need a few laps to recalibrate!! It was also my firsttime on the bike for several weeks (I didn't do the practice day) so +0.2s isn't too bad!! ;)) – Anyway, I preceded to go 0.7 seconds quicker during the first race as I got a feel for the grip available.

Also even though I was disgraceful off the line all weekend, I finished <0.5s behind him in one race! and that was after I had had a crash/DNF in the previous race too!! ;)

Now bearing in mind I am a 33yr old washed-up has-been/wannabee, doing his first race weekend EVER on the SV*, beating me by that small a margin doesn’t make Mr Northover (the championship leader/winner)/Jorden combo THAT great does it!! ;)

I KNOW I am not the fastest racer out there (did enough years of racing to know that), for me to do as well as I did with such ease (I felt I could have done much better had I got off the line) - I was actually a bit disappointed by how weak the m-twin competition was at MRO level! I’ve done MRO Supersport 600 and that WAS though!! ;)

*and lets be fair, I doubt my bike is the greatest minitwin ever either!!!! ;)

I see, if we are merely having banter and trying to light touch papers (rather than adding to a thread) ....

Looking at your laptimes/results and bike combo, even by my yardstick, YOU are obviously very slow (and bearing in mind I am significantly faster than you – perhaps jealousy is why you seem to try and piddle on my campfire at any given opportunity - even unprovoked?!!?) and by my reckoning your god Chris is nothing special either* - even on top kit - he is only fractionally quicker than an old-timer, mediocre racer like me on a nail!!!! So in the scheme of things what does that make him?!!? ;)

*I wish the guy luck and hopefully he has many racing years ahead of him, and achieve some good things. He clearly is very capable on an SV, but as I have effectively been head-to-head, at this point, I can’t say I am in awe of his riding like I have been of others. So you are not really rubbing anything in my face by name dropping him all the time (if that is what you are perpetually trying to do) . It is irritating, but for a different reason!! ;)

You know i'm slow, I know i'm slow but I enjoy myself in the battles I have with people.

Yes i'll admit i'm jealous and not just of you. Everyone who is faster or more talented at my chosen sport than me.

One question though. Stick you on my bike and then add 60-70 kgs's of ballast to your body and do you think you'd be able to do low 54's round Brands?

As to you thinking I consider Chris a god. You're wrong, I just consider him a very talented rider who was part of the team I was part of. His bike was nothing special just a crash damaged K5 thats had a nice paint job on it. None of the bling was fitted to it as chris would then not have been able to afford tyres that genuinely did help him go faster.

MRO Dyna pro minitwin champion?:p
