Thought i'd best say hello :) I'm new to biking, just passed my test in mid december and was straight out and got an sv650... nearly finished the 600mile break-in already. I have a habit of throwing myself in at the deep end... novice rider, new bike, in not exactly ideal road conditions ;)

I'm basically lookin to get out any day the weather's at least semi-forgiving and I've never ridden with anyone before... So i'll keep my eyes peeled on here for any meetings coming up and hopefully I can join in :)

Yea, i've noticed - have to keep cleaning the bike too, but it's just so hard to keep off it! Just been taking it nice and easy on the roundabouts and corners... did get one bone-dry day last week tho, it was awesome :D

I take it there aren't many get-togethers this time of year?

Yea, i'm out when it's not pouring from the heavens... had a taste of dry roads one day so far and it was just unbelievably good :)

And plowsie, dunno if u've ridden here before, but u'll notice the lack of speed cameras in comparison to the mainland ;) (touch wood it stays that way)

A mate of mine lives close to there and he reckons the local bikers are nutters. Riding bog roads at stupid speeds:evil:----but then he is Captain Sensible on a bike so it could be relative to his cruising speed
