I remember hearing about this a few years ago, there was a big thing about it then but it hasn't been mentioned for a while  which is strange as it was a good idea then and still is if enough people know about it.

It shouldn't matter which network you are on though should it? :-s

nope, just put the word ICE in front or after your main contact-eg your parents, ive also ordered two of these:

No, if emergency services find your phone they can quickly see a number to ring, so the can get your medical details (alergies, doctors name etc) which can speed up treatment. doesn't matter who your with.

so I'm guessing would be a thought to put ICE before doctors number too or would that confuse matters?

Your doctor may not be able to get your records immediatly. A close family member or friend that knows your medical history would be a better option in my view, they could tell the ambulance crew in seconds if you had any medical problems or allergies

Also a family member or friend would be able to identify you by description over the phone unlike the night shift at the doctors

couldn't you have 'ICE - Mum' or summat? surely that would make it easier if someone was looking on the phone anyway, so they know who it is they are ringing?

I have heard that you can put the number in twice, on the ICE number you can put a * after the number and it will still work, so one could say MUM and the other ICE Mrs -----,
I havent tried it

and the other ICE Mrs -----,

Just realised my last post was daft, obviously ICE-Mum would be a silly idea!!
