Happy New Year Org.'rs!

Can anyone recommend an online stockist of Ohlins replacement fork springs?

Contacted harris performance but no response as yet.

Race-tech has me as 0.81 Kg/mm spring rate over the stock 0.67 using their calc.

K-Tech has a set at 0.85 kg/mm, anyone used these? They are about £10 cheaper, not sure I'd notice a huge difference between those and Ohlins. So looks like they could be worth a try.

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers

I have the K-tech 0.85 in my curvy SVS (standard is 0.71), with a middle of the road Motul 10W oil. The springs are linear rather than progressive, some people would recommend linear for most road use but I have an open mind on it.

I'm about 12st (plus kit) and they are slightly stiffer than ideal for me but fine. If you're more than 12st it'd be right. The very simple set up is a huge improvement over standard and well worth the money.

I picked them up from K-tech. They are a decent outfit.

Cheers embee!

Think I'll order them this week.

I'm 12St without my gear so i'll be roughly the same as yourself.

Now I'll need to get my finger out and invade the old mans garage to get them changed.

I see lots of tea drinking and umming and ahhing in the near future :)

Just another note, before doing the springs I had shimmed the top spacers to get a sensible static sag (added about 5mm of washer thickness, the SK1 doesn't have the preload adjusters).

With the 0.85 springs from K-tech I removed the extra shims, and the static sag with just the standard tube spacer is just right for me.

I'm not sure what differences there were in spring detail (length etc) between K1 and K3, others on here will know for sure.
