As many will know, I'm now the proud owner of a gixer front end on my sv. I know the front will be lower than normal now and I was wondering if you think that lowering the back end will be worthwhile?
If so, will the dogbones readily available on eBay and the like be the right length or will I need to get some custom one's made up?
Regards
leave it alone.if anything it needs more ride hight on rear for sport riding.

I think Phil what your looking for is to jack up the rear, otherwise i think you may get a handling issue, Billy jacked up my old bike from the rear, and it handled really well :D

Try it first; the front end is now firmer, so it may be that its the same hiehgt-ish as the SV previously was with is squishy forks that even my paltry weight compress when i get on the thing

As above, technically you've made the geometry slightly sharper, but it shouldn't be enough to cause major problems. If you find it too twitchy you can try dropping the back. From memory GSXR forks are something like 10mm shorter than SV items (Though I'd imagine that's year dependant). Putting shorter dog bones in to raise the rear technically affects all the rising rate linkage as well, though they'd only need to be longer by a few mm.... I'd just ride the thing and see how you feel.

Was gonna ride it before I did anything, was just seeing if anyone thought I would need to so I could keep my eye out for any parts I might need.
I can't wait for the weekend as I should be able to finally get up to the garage and finish the job!
