View Full Version : windy weather
hope the weather is not too bad beside you all. I have been up all night as I cant sleep due to wind blowing down fences, blowing wheelie bins all over the place. I got up at 2 to selotape my letter box shut. My wheelie bin has left the country I think. just watching weather report and winds are 75mph in this area.
but my bike is still upright :)

Yep it's wild here too. Was planning on a wee ride over to Hein Gericke later, but doubt I'll attempt my first time on the bike since my knee op in this. I fink I'm going back to bed..........

That's just the first day of the annual vigil for my back fence. This year's wrinkle is that the apple tree might take it out!
I will keep you all informed...

i got to witness a bit of a domino effect as 3 of me bikes toppled over each other. the rs and gz were ok but the vfr got a bit squished in the middle and needs a new tank. thankfully the sv was in the garage. was a good laugh out pickin them up at 2 this mornin' dodgin' flyin' wheely bins.
Yeah, I got up at 2am because i thought tiles were comming off the roof.
Didn't see any, something made a big noise though.
TIGER, you need to set up a tree cam.
As a quote I once hear "It's nothing without pictures" :thumleft:

Apparently there's a swarm of locusts forecast for tomorrow.
Ya know, on new year's day I rode home through crazy floods, laughing like an idiot, and on the 2nd the roads were bone dry and i got home thinking "This is the perfect omen for a good year's riding!". Then it started snowing

We got up yesterday to a plastic garden table in the middle of the road that must have actually flown over someone's 6 foot fence! There was also a random Christmas Tree in next door's drive!! Oh, and the aftermath of the wheelie-bin massacre!

The wheelie bin gods have been greatly angered and sought revenge......

For me it was 1 tile dislodged at the front of the house but still on roof and 1 tile off the back and through the decking :(
For my neighbour it was about 40ft of 6ft fencing lying horizontal on the outside footpath with every post snapped at the base
As for wheeliebins I was the only one in the street not to put it out till morning and was the only one not picking up their contents :D
