sometimes I amaze even myself ...

I very nearly just put an offer in on a house … thing is the house is ~170 miles from where I live/work and I just found it on RightMove 10 mins ago!!…

I was all excited, about to pick up the phone, then I realised perhaps it wasn't such a clever thing to do!! =; :D

{slap}!! :D

Think I'll go get a cup of coffee ...

I reckon buying a house would be one helluva bad move right now.The economic writing is on the wall everywhere. They cant even flog Northern Rock at a loss because those in the know can see whats coming.
But I always was an optimist.:D

Point is this one is cheaper than mine ... I could pretty much buy it outright with the equity I currently hold in mine ... if there is a slump in the housing market due, then my house won’t be worth as much either ... a 10% slump means more £s loosed if your house is worth more (10% of £1 is 10p, 10% 90p = 9p ;))... NOW is the time to buy houses that are cheaper than yours if you already have a house ;)

I hope Northen rock gets sold off.

That means my mortgage will be owed to many many companies, and hopefully it will go missing in the sale of NR.........

But thats luck, and i don't get none of that. Prob get hit with some kinda "we're bankrupt so we're passing to customers" charge. Now THATS my luck

Trading down to a cheaper house would certainly make sense if you agree with my economic forecast, but dont forget you need to sell your existing gaff.
Worst case scenario would be to get left holding two babies while the bath water ran out.:(

....but unless you know the area well that house might be well overpriced and you will be paying over the odds, the only way to do it is to move to rented accommodation and HOPE house prices don't go up! remember we are not in 89/90, today Europe is open, I'm not so sure houses will go down that much, the supply does not fit the demand at this moment... well at least in the south east:rolleyes:
But what do I know?

..

I nearly bought it as it was my mates old house from when I used to live in that same village (it’s where I grew up), so I know the exact property/area (Cambridgeshire). It’s a really nice place and much MUCH nicer than the s-hole that is Portsmouth which is near where I live now!! :D … Point is that with the equity I have now, I could own my mates old property almost (depending on exact price I get for mine) OUTRIGHT, so totally house price/interest rate proof!! I don’t care what the market does at that point, its almost irrelevant! ;)

Even better. Not too bad for Donny Cadwell and Darley moor either.Come to think of it the South and South West are really crap for circuit choices.Only Thruxton and Castle Coombe, and the noise fascists dont allow engines there.:o
Anyway back to Cambridge-----Beware flooding.:(

You'll have to introduce me to the mortgage broker who will let a 17 year old buy a house
I think I could maybe afford a shed. Heh.

I hate the M11/A14/A428 junction, the bit where the M11 goes south and the A14 goes west. People all over the place cutting you up without indicating :smt014

Well, if you do buy it, I'm in Histon and don't know many bikers round here
