Okay so I went to check my bike as I haven't rode it since Sunday...

Right I go to start the bike, pull the clutch in, hit the starter, the entire dash goes of, so all the lights on the bike, no power nothing it just won't start. (no power) Then about a about 1 min later, it powers up the fuel injection spins up so I think okay lets start the bike up it does exactly the same thing.

I did notice when I tried to start it up, that there was clicking noise under the seat or to my rear, what would that be? It sounds like bumping noise, I don't how else to describe it.

Well I though give it another try, so after a few more attempts the bike starts up?

What would cause this to happen anyone any ideas? Its a new bike done 2400 miles thats it. I put the bike on the optimate the battery is currently at 12.7v and charghing.

What do I do next? I'm worried about this, as I use my bike to get to work. Help plz:help:

Sounds like a duff battery, just ran out of charge? I think the click is also symptomatic of a regulator/rectifer? Although this is an uncommon problem on pointies...

Sorry I can't help more, someone else should be able to offer some better advice

Flat battery.Do you normally keep it on the Optimate,or have you just put it on since it went flat? You really need to get the charging system checked with a multimetre to find out the cause.

What is strange guys, that after several attempts the bike started, after total power loss and fired up and ran fine, i turned it off and started up again.....so not sure if a flat baettery would case this.

My bike is the K6 Sport so injected.

Loose connection?
Or a sticky starter motor.Sometimes the starter wont engage, and just nudging it forward in gear a touch moves things round a bit and everything works.
