Apparently they die fairly quick those ones.
Go to your nearest HG for some uprated Phillips bulbs.

Osram nightbreakers, 10.94 delivered from powerbulbsdirect.
I've got some and they are just "blue bulbs"
They also include a blue tiny bulb for the centre light which is useless as it gives off yellow light which cancels the blueness.
They do look "cool" in that they give off a blue light but they aren't any better at night.
Far better to for the propper ones.

Nightbreakers or the ebay random ones?
Osrams bright bulbs generally get very good reviews.

I used the Philips Xenon 50% in a car a couple of times ans they were great. Didn't look much brighter, but one thing that I did notice was that Reflective surfaces were more noticable further away than with normal bulbs.
I'd definately go for Osram or Philips though, Stay away from other cheaper brands.
Search autotrader for reviews.

Nightbreakers are very good. I wouldn't upgrade from another quality bulb (oh, OK, I did- but I wouldn't again) but they're better than Silverstars and those were worth the money anyway. Never buy a bulb that markets itself on how it looks, the only way to change the colour of a bulb is to impair its ability to light the road. And never ever ever buy a bulb that throws around HID etc in an attempt to make it appeal to boy racers, that's not a good market segment to find yourself in.
