Senior C# Developer – Systematic Trading Technology

We are looking for a strong C# developer with a proven delivery record. We require a candidate with the skills and drive to take responsibility for projects of any size and to run with them (often alone) to completion. Being self-sufficient enough to take control of personal projects is as important as being the team player. If Investment Banking experience is not present, then the candidate will have to show basic financial knowledge and present the desire to learn such topics to a high degree.

The team currently develops the technology behind the systematic trading program which currently manages $5 bn. You will be an important part in continuing the development of our in-house software that is on the frontiers of current trading technology.

Duties

• Take or produce a specification based on business requirements, produce a design and implement that design. There is the possibility of working alone as well as in a team so the appropriate skills to do either will be required.
• To quickly familiarise oneself with legacy code and high speed trading framework (mainly written in C#) with the intent of enhancing the work and/or fixing defects where appropriate.
• To liaise with traders and other business users to streamline products and to aid their manual trading endeavours.

Core Skills

• Extensive experience/understanding of .Net and the C# language.
• Demonstrable OO design skills and design pattern knowledge
• Database design and SQL query writing skills
• Knowledge of development methodologies and the utilisation of automated CI [Continuous Integration] processes.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in often highly pressurised environments
• Ability to work to tight deadlines whilst producing high quality code

Desirable skills:

• Investment Banking/Automated trading knowledge
• Service Oriented Architecture
• Remoting/WCF skills
• Messaging technologies (Tibco/Msmq/MQSeries)

GUI Developer – Systematic Trading Technology

We are looking for a strong C# GUI developer with a proven delivery record. The candidate will take responsibility for the design, development and GUI for the User Interface for the trading system so solid UI design skills coupled with in depth functional development skills for the subsequent data layers will be essential. Being self-sufficient enough to take control of personal projects is as important as being the team player. If Investment Banking experience is not present, then the candidate will have to show basic financial knowledge and present the desire to learn such topics to a high degree.

Quantitative Analyst - Systematic Trading Technology - Business Continuity

We are looking for a candidate to consolidate the business continuity function of our systematic trading group. We require a candidate with a quantitative background to maintain and ensure the smooth running of our trading systems, with 0-2yrs financial systems experience. If Investment Banking experience is not present, then the candidate will have to show basic financial knowledge and present the desire to learn such topics to a high degree. Middle office or product control experience is a benefit.

The team currently develops and maintains the technology behind the systematic trading program which currently manages $5bn. You will be an important part in continuing the functioning of our in-house software that is on the frontiers of current trading technology.

Duties

• Support and maintain systematic trading systems and processes
• To aid traders and other business users in the use of our systems
• To quickly familiarise oneself with system internals (mainly written in C#) with the intent of discovering the source of issues, providing feedback to developers and fixing defects where appropriate

Core Skills

• Experience/understanding of .Net and the C# language
• Quantitative background
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in often highly pressurised environments
• The desire to learn and a strong interest in financial markets

Desirable skills:

• Investment Banking systems/Automated trading knowledge

How much better? I'm just intrigued, rather than interested in the role(s) - I do something similar in an investment bank but in Java and C++ mainly, not C#!
