Can't believe i am doing two posts in one day... :smt120

this has happened to me once before (in France of all places) so any diagnosses would be gratefully taken in...

Heavey Heavey rain on the way home.... After half hour or so, slowed down for junction and bike cut out.... Started again but couldn't hold any revs so just shut off again..... Couldn't even get it to tick over with full choke..

So. as i did before in France.. i left the bike (luckily car garage just a few 100 yrds away with shelter) standing cold for 15 mins and then managed to start it again - albeit with choke on full)... Managed to get home by putting choke on each time i slowed to stop and then taking it off whenever actually moving....

Anyone else got this issue??? any ideas???
Initially it thought it was water getting into where the lower spark plug is, but now i am not so shure....

Would be gratefull for any ideas....

I spray around the HT lead boot with silicone spray lube- should keep the water off and cope with the heat of the cylinder (WD40 seemed to evaporate).

I don't tend to get this much now- last time it happened, I took the bike out for a bit more of a blast (hi-rev riding) and it helped- not that I recommend this in heavy rain...
