My eyelid has developed a nervous twitch:( It's doing my head in! Because I can feel and see it happening. And if it gets really bad, then my eye starts watering
I feel like punching it to make it go away!](*,)

Sounds like you're a bit run down. Get some early nights. If it's any consolation, my lower lids have been doing it so badly recently, my vision twitches around.

I occasionally get an eyelid twitch if I've been playing video games late into the night. I think that it's tiredness combined with staring at a screen for too long.

yup, had that recently - v freaky, but even more freaky as it happened in my good eye and I couldn't see too well. It persisted for a few weeks but stopped now. Try a hot compress when it has a turn.

A= stop staring at the Org
B- get some sleep
C= don't start punching yourself, then you'll give yourself something to twitch about, and look like a mad person!!!!

Wibble. :smt082
I get that too occasionally, never lasts too long though. What's even more annoying is when it's on the underside of my arm :-s I think it's meant to be stress-related.

I've also had one in my foot, and kneecap (that was soooo irritating!) Is there actually a way of getting it to stop or is it just a matter of waiting for it to wear off (which is usually the case )??
p.s thankyou :)

Go to bed!
I also get a twitchy eye when stressed some times, asked the doctor last time I was in and he said nothing to be done and they don't know what causes it exactly!
Perhaps if I didn't stare at a pc screen as much might help also:rolleyes:
Same. Over tired and stress.

Its probably stress. I get irritated and annoyed by the silliest little things these days. And then like a second later I'm thinking, why am I loosing it over something like that?
Its like, I know its a stupid thing to get annoyed about, but I get annoyed anyway:confused:
I need to get out on my bike. That calms me down. I always breath a sigh of relief with I start riding down the road.
Roll on summer!:D
Are you randomly shouting w*nk*r at no-one in particular?
No?.............. It's not Tourettes then, go get some decent sleep.
I feel like punching it to make it go away!](*,)
I get twitches quite a lot all over. I relax and enjoy them and say to the nearest person: "Look! I'm not doing that! Amazing isn't it?". (And worry that it might be a clot looking for my important bits)
I'd say punch it and see what happens.

Right.
Stress is a creepy bastid.
When you are using a monitor, your muscles in your eyes are locked on on single focal plane. You can remain on that plane for hours if you are a coder / gamer etc.
This is very unnatural for the eye, which is used to looking about at lots of things all over the place.
What you have to do is stop every 40 min, and focus in the distance, than back close, and repeat this 15 times quickly. This sort of loosens the muscles, and helps out with a lot of eye problems.
Hope this helps some of you...
