I can't seem to watch some video files on my laptop. It seems to be wma files. I can watch avi files ok though
I've got vista and it just updated itself last night so that's probably the problem. Anyone heard anything about this?
maybe try this (http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/device/audio/wmadrv.mspx)
disclaimer: i dont use windows
Just sounds like you need the correct drivers though.

I had a looky on the microsoft website for codecs but they don't have any for vista :(

I thought windows media player played most things and everything M$
I hate windows, for exactly things like this ;)

Try a program called VLC media player - I've used it for ages and it's never failed to play a file yet. It's a free program too :) Website here (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/)
