how: it was done by the shop from new as it was the copper colour that no one seemed to like!

where: it was done by Dream Machine

how much: It was done from new as a promo so it was free, would expect it to set you back at least £500 though.

thanks for the comments!8)

Can I be the first to say I don't like it?

I dunno, Gixer colours look great on Gixers, but to me the SV bodywork suits a plain 'one colour all over' paintjob better.

Cheaper to just buy a GSXR!

I quite like it. I wouldn't say I love it, and not something I'd do to my bike, but it's good. Sure it would look a bit more "GSXR" with a seat cowel too.

I'm sure it isn't, you'd have put lowers on rather than the 'pan.
Only said that because you said it was GSXR coloured, and I immediately thought (when I looked at the pics) that the rear seat does it no favours in terms of complimenting the paint job, that's all.

Should get the wheels painted white, get a seat cowl and a tinted screen (wouldnt personally go Iridium mind) and then it would be spot on :D

Oddly, considering the shape of the bike, it reminds me more of a GSX-R colour GSX-1400 than a GSX-R.

Just looking around. I found a mint 800 miler for a decent price so went for that instead. To be honest, GSXR paint jobs arn't really me either - although the finish was great.

My naked bike has 28,000 all weather miles on it and the downpipe is like new. It's made from stainless steel, it's not going to rot in a few months.

Yours is well nice. I think there is too much white at the back of mine. I thinking of ordering the OE seat cowl in SV1000S dark blue from 2006 and doing some work around that. Think it is very similar blue.
