Hello everyone!
My name's Ali and I'm from Chorley, Lancashire. I've had my SV650 since September 2007 ..... before that I had an SV400 ...... before that I had a VTR250 .... :D
I've had my licence for ten years but have really got into biking more since I got the SV.
I go on loads of ride-outs and have been on two already since the new year.
I am usually free on Sundays and the odd Saturday here and there.
Where is the usual meeting place for people in my area?
Look forward to meeting up with you soon.

Filipe M.

You missed the "good afternoon" bit, and it could be translated as "madhouse", but yes

Hi Ali:D

Is that Ali as in Ali, or Ali as in short for Alison?

If it's the latter, duck! You'll be trampled in the rush of feet when the guys realise you are of the fairer sex;)

Godammit... just as I was convincing myself that SVs weren't girl's bikes, another female SV rider pops her head over the parapet.

Welcome to the madhouse, Ali.

It has a lot to do with stupid spares prices and the appalling build quality. Kawasakis are fast, but nowhere near as well built as they were 10 years ago.

Yeh! I go to Rivvie from time to time. It's not to far from Chorley so if I just want a little bimble, I'll go there.

Checked out your 'you tube' films. Very good. We go to the North West 200 or Ulster Grand Prix every year. I've been to the TT a couple of times .... but it was a very very long time ago.

oh why did no one mention that before i bought it??? :( surely it cant be worse than the Suzuki build quality??

Kawasakis quality has slipped hugely in the last few years, I honestly think Ducati and Aprilia are better built now. Suzuki have improved to the extent that they have overtaken both Kawasaki and Yamaha in my opinion. Honda really are the best built of the lot, but if only they didn't make such bland bikes.

We are off to the Manx GP in Aug this year and we are planning to go to the ulster GP next year for a change. I will miss the IOM though. I love that place. Do you every head up to Hawes, Ingleton, Devils Bridge e.t.c. We go up every weekend when the weather is nice. Set off at 7am from Adlington and get back around dinner. We get over rivi and bellmont most nights during summer. Just tend to potter around Houghton and Chorley now the weather aint great. Just in the middle of doing some onbike vids, you will have to see if you spot anywhere you know.

Yep! I was in Hawes last weekend :D Went to Devil's Bridge first (note: 'Butty van' closed for the winter :(). Love the road from Settle to Hawes. :p
.... I take it that 'back around dinner' means early evening and not lunch-time? lol

I agree what a road. Its better coming from hawes back to settle i think. Had two near misses on that road on the same day. 1st on was a herd of cows after a fast left hander. 2nd was a Ram in the road who was not for moving. If it wasn't for the kind BMW driver coming the other way telling us to slow down i would of hit it. The little cafe in Hawes village centre is fantastic on a sunday morning.
