hmmmmm. YES. I don't have tyre warmers or anything but as Silverstone is so close, could be a good day out. not bad I guess at 90 squid. I only have Z6 sports touring tyres though, do you think they'd be OK
(never done a track day before)

Philbut has an SV.. :-)
We don't have to mingle with the Soho massive if we dont want to, probly best not to as they all seem to crash rather a lot ;-)

Dan and I can't do any in March, but we're booked in at Brands Hatch on Sat 23rd Feb.
?99 for the day
Joining novice group if anyone fancies it:
Dan (ZX6R)
Mat (ZX6R - his first track day)
Me (CBR - my first time at Brands and on CBR)
Only problem is it's early in year, so hope weather holds out!
If someone wants to get my bike there without the wheels touching the public road, then I might be in. Otherwise no as the SV is still sworn and will be till around July time me thinks.

I have a bike trailor that can accomadate 3 bikes (but I've only ever tried it with 1 - might be a tad heavy with three 600's on, its meant for MX bikes). If someone has a car with a towbar and electrics could be an option.

Aw I would so definitely do that but I am already booked on a narrowboat holiday from the 29th March for a week so I can't make it. :(

A narrowboat holiday?
We are gonna be racing around Silverstone a la Rossi and Stoner while you will be drinking tea with Rosie & Jim?? ;-)

Firstly.....narowboat holiday. LMFAO.
Secondly....please don't put Stoner in the same bracket as Rossi. :)

It's with my parents, so I have to go, they don't see me very often cos they live in Belgium. Its actually very fun; cruising slowly around, drinking and eating and not falling in!

Plus you could put a jetski on the back for the occasional thrash to annoy the fishermen!

I did a trackday in Inters on a Bandit 600 with Avon Azaro AV45/46 sports touring tyres, you'll be fine. My ex used to do trackdays on her Daytona 600 on Pirelli Diablo Stradas, she never had any problems either.

How are they about legal (or not) tyres. My front is rather thin on the edges. Would they last a track day?

Absolutely! what are you thinking??
The trackday is open to all BTW. So far there look to be two groups riding up there - a 'Soho Massive' one leaving from the Ace, plus I'm going to do a brisk run directly there from Woking, with one stop en route to meet whoever wants to join me (location TBC depending on who is coming & from where). Or you can organise another one if you like!

Much as I'd love to see you there Si, I'd be reluctant to suggest you do a trackday if any aspect of your bike isn't quite right...

Especially not in it's current state. Major changes going on with the front end at the moment. So the lights are hanging off, the clocks are hanging off, the control cables need replacing. Not a good idea then.
I AM going to do a track day this year. After nearly a quarter of a century riding motorcycles and never having done a track day, I think it's about time I did.

Don't who out of you guys has booked, but I did yesterday there 19 spaces left in the noivce group.
Also as for tyres long as they have 1mm, left on them if you are riding home then no problem, but hey its your choice, I wouldn't let mine run that far down.
