I just spoke to Stamford Superbikes - not sure if you know them but they said they are a Solus dealer. I was asking about the K8 750, the chap reckoned:
- No K8 750s in until April at the earliest
- 1 750 per dealer!
- It'd be a blue/white one most likely
- I was 'p*ssing in the wind' looking for a black one! I'd be lucky to get one this year :-?
I know you mentioned March on the 'other' forum (I think it was you!) for getting them in...does the above sound true to you?
Oh, and...any deals on the K8? ;)

Im still being told March. If the unit is allocated as sold then Suzuki usually give preference as far as supply goes. IE if they are short supply then dealers with sold allocations get them first.
Deals...it hasnt even come out yet and no RRP set!.
Will try and see what i can find out for you.

Slight derail......
what was the outcome of the theft of your last GSX - R, did you get payout / compensation?

I didn't claim in the end, but I am still in the process of taking the tracker company to court for their part in the theft... the new bike would be very well secured indeed! :D

Any news on this?
Also - popped in to a dealer today and got an offer I'm finding very hard to refuse :D a K8 750 and £400 off RRP - from what people are saying that's quite good? I was told I won't get anything off the RRP if I want a K8?
Oh and even better, if I put a deposit down and I don't want it later, I can have my deposit back no questions asked!
Like I said, hard to turn down

Deposit back? Can't rally go wrong with that.
I'm sure I'd be signing up for that if I could.

I'd be a bit wary of the 'deposit back' thing btw - a friend of mine was told the same previously, but when he changed his mind the dealer just laughed and said why would they have asked for a deposit if you could just take it back again?
Not saying this is def the case here but personally i'd want that in writing if i was paying any significant amount of money
good luck with the bike hunt though!
In TWO magazine this month they say that it should be on sale March 08 for around £7,999 I know it's hardly reliable but they say it's from the horses mouth.

I'm going to ask for it in writing about the deposit for the very reason you mention :) think I will be popping in at lunch tomorrow and doing it :D
