Who's all going this year? I've never been before but i hear good things, would be good to see a few SVs there.

We usually organise something.

In the past arranging to meet at the Suzuki stand on one of the days is quite a popular choice which also... curiously.... usually spectacularly fails. :rolleyes:

Maybe, we'll see how I get on in London next weekend. I might have seen every new bike and bought all the new kit I want by the Ingleston show.

Last year I turned up at the appointed spot (Suzuki stand) and met... one person :rolleyes: I wore my SV650.org tshirt and everything :smt010

I might be off to the London show, but even if I do I'll be at the Edinburgh one, there's always a few differences and I imagine they'll have the inevitable Marc Gillespie stunt show etc to watch etc. Weirdly last year the Fast and Modified car show had a series of supermoto races, but the bike show never seems to have anything as cool as that. Not ideal race weather mind!

I may turn up, I haven't decided yet, depends who else is gonna be there and what day (as northy says, he met one person last year). I aint going to buy stuff, or to really look for my "next bike", so it would be just to meet up with folk really.

I also have uni exams the week after, wether I am sitting them or not hasn't been decided, but it is unlikely that I will be sitting them as I'm no where near 100% mentally or physically yet.

Oh and its my 21st the weekend after, so presents in the form of an Sv (or similar) are most welcome. (ok, may be not, especially if my sisters/parents have anything to do with it... they'll probably kill me just for turning up to the show!)

How well are you getting around now mate? I did the show on crutches a couple of years ago, it was fantastic, not only did everyone get out of my way but I was treated like a hero, bikers love injured bikers :lol:

I'm just on the one crutch now, and only for long walks (like over half a mile, or where I have to stand for more than 5 mins). I was crutchless before xmas, but then had a slight collapsing incident the week before xmas (I was trying too much too soon). So that kind of put me back a month of recovery, I had xrays last week and they think another 8 weeks and the bone will be healed, but the muscle is no where near normal which will just take time and work. They are telling me this is an amazingly quick recovery considering the damage

For short distances like to the shops or something I can cope witout the crutch. I've also been doing deliveries for the chinese just up from your house on wednesdays for the past 3 weeks, yes they eventually let me drive again and its just 2 or 3 deliveries a night and short walks from the car so I'm fine for that. I never knew how long slow and boring this recovery would be, I'm only just really getting out again.

The physio has reduced my appointments from 3 a week to one a month, the rest of the time, I'm doing the stuff independantly now, or as much as I can.

The arm is pretty much back to normal, well apart from the beast of a scar, but thats an improvement from what the ladies have told me, lol.

The whole intenal injuries and stomache issue is slowly getting better, still not right, but its thought to be 50% in my head (as in shock, rater than me going crazy), 25% my liver and diaphram still recovering, and 25% me just eating ****e as I've been stuck in bed for so long.

As I said above I've been back at uni for about 2 weeks, but I'm only turning up when I feel up to it, I have no pressure to do anything this year. So just taking each step as it comes, if I can't do it, I wont do it.

to keep this on topic, be gr8 2 see some folk there if anyone is thinking about it.

Yep, I was going nuts by the end of my time on crutches, and I think it was shorter than yours. But every day's progress even when it doesn't feel like it.
