Rather pleased with these, not much of a photography person but got a few snaps today on a little ride!

4th to 8th are yep :) Nice day for riding and hadn't been down there for a while :) The first 3 are part of my detour to there :)

Thats not a bad camera at all. You have some control with the manual mode if you have ever tried it. You can adjust white balance, exposure compensation as well as a few others thins including exposure mode which will help a lot to expose the pics right.
Read your manual and take it out of auto. Dont blame a camera as it is the user that controls it. I have the A540 and get brilliant pics despite it is only 6mp unlike your 7mp. You may even have fun learning how to use the limited manual controls on the camera but one thing for sure is you can improve those pics a lot.
