View Full Version : Some pics of my new MTB
Got a Specialized Rockhopper a few weeks ago. Wanted a satin black model with disc brakes but none to be seen in my size seeing as they are 2007 models. Not into the 2008 model colours (not those i can afford anyway) so went with v brake 2007 model instead as it wont matter for my type of riding and it is easy to upgrade later to disk.
Stock at the moment but it is a sweet ride and a lot lighter and tougher than my Diamond Back it replaces.
Thought i would take some pics before it gets covered in mud again....i have never clened my SV that well!!!

Is that saddle shaped like that to allow botty gasses to flow out un-impeded?

Well it's the right colour and I see you have upgraded the suspension. But as Rictus said, where's the engineV:?:
Still say the curvy frames are nicest.

Sounds to me like you guys need some excercise and then you will find the engine :D

I bought a Rockhopper in August, absolutely superb, you won't be disappointed !
The saddle is surprisingly comfortable ;)

Yeah it is really good and a lot lighter than my old mtb. I see you got the disc version in the best colour too ;) ....i just could not find the same anywhere in UK so settled for the v brake version
I bought a Rocky last month, mine is in the '08 red colour scheme. Me n Tim went out last weekend on ours into Guisborough woods up here in the snow and between us we probably spent more time in the snow face down than on the bikes! Great fun.

Nice one :-D
So looks to me like a popular choice of mtb
Must be the time a year for getting mountain bikes, I purchased this GT Avalanche 1 a few weeks ago:

If you factor in cold weather (MTBing keeps you warm) falling off a lot (doesnt hurt the MTB quite as much as the motorbike) and the amount of New Year Resolutions to get fit then I guess its a popular choice. Plus it beats running.
