I've finally purchased a lower fairing and i should hopefully be picking up a seat cowl & hugger tomorrow night... I fancy making up some race replica graphics and was thinking of the GSV-R style Telefonica decals. (see below)

using the poll above, let me know whether you think it would be a good idea to try & create something similar but on the SV...

(p.s. I'm a graphic designer and sign writer so would be able to manufacturer the decals myself at work.)

after arsing about in photoshop for half an hour: (needs a lot of tidying up)

It's really down to you mate. We all have our own tastes so do what you want to do. Personally, I wouldn't bother but that's me. ;)

very nice, you have it done proffessionally? and has it been lacquered over or are they just stuck on top of the paint work - i wont be respraying/relacquering over them (too much of a ball ache and if i change my mind I can take em off :))

i got the idea after seeing your gsxr style sv funnily enough - made me think about how to make it stand out from a standard sv.

The only acceptable colour is BLACK. That is all.

Sorry, a big no from me, I think that the SV's look better with a solid coulour scheme, but as someone has already said, personal prefference!

with a bit more careful planning and nicer yellow chequer's it could be halfway there...

I think it looks terrible.

IMO the only bikes that can get away with those sort of colour schemes/graphics are track bikes. Looks incredibly tacky on the road. :)

Whatever floats your boat though.

IMO that somehow reminds me of a police bike

Up to you of course as it's a terribly personal thing, but I agree with whoever said solid colours suit the SV. I like it's understated-ness, nice and clean.

The problem with race gfx is that after a couple of years the paint job can look dated. Ok some look great (really like Marlboro colours) but some on the other hand look hideous.
Saying that I really like the new Tenkate Hanspree Honda CBR. Looks nice in green & white

il give ten kate about 18 months til it looks ancient - i do like it but it looks like it might age quickly

What colour's that bucket of yours then? ;)

I thought that was a terrible idea, but I don't object too much to the photoshop there. It's a bit cluttered, cutting down on the stickers would be much nicer I think. But it's not bad.

<Applauds Simon>

Hear hear.

There is only one true colour for all things motorcycle related and that colour is black...until someone discovers something darker.

Its not a GSXR no matter what you do to it..................

I only want the graphics so that when I get photos back from novice track days, I'll look like a real racer & therefore faster

I'm still in two minds, I love the look of the fully faired bike in block colours but if I could refine the design, it could be something pretty smart. Either that a complete bag of toss.
