Im sorry to admit it ,but dont you all agree that people in the south make much better riders
while you northern lot are hiding away from the snow and frost we're riding around in the sun getting in loads of practice.
Plus we're rich ,therefore the roads are muuuuuuch better
ps I was born up norf:smt064

Southerners do more miles on their bikes because they have to ride further to find a good pint of beer or a good bag of chips.

Also we have to ride further to find good roads, where you have them on your door step.

The roads are so good round me I don't need to go out on them. I just open the garage door, look at the bike, turn and look at the road and I'm done, saves loads on petrol and tyres too.

Great route, apart from being stuck behind a three mile long traffic jam. Hope the suns out tomorrow :D. Watchet is as you say abit muddy. Too much farm traffic. Southern riders rule, :safe:

I get the best of both worlds when i go stay wi me dad in notts. (I'm from up north too) I think the road surfaces are rubbish up there for bikers. They only just managed to sort out snake pass and then a landslide put that back to the state it was in i expect.

Maaaaaan, your line is all wrong in that photo (if that is indeed you?) ;-)
Proof indeed that southern (USA) riders are NOT the best :-P
And I bet that photo doesn't show the road either side of that bend (probably goes straight on for hundreds of miles in either direction :smt042)

Mind you, you DO have some decent traffic laws over there :thumright:

That's not me ...I took the photo.
Must have been some chap from the north! :p ;) :D

That's a picture from The Dragon (aka: tail of the dragon, the Gap, Deals Gap) in North Carolina.
318 turns in 11 miles!!!
Some lovely off camber turns as well.

And yes...my family originates from Southern England.

I've ridden The Dragon (and Cherohala), lovely road (the whole of the surrounding area is great too). Fewer knobbers pushing their luck than you'd get in the UK (still saw some cabbage on Ninja chuck his bike down the bank), but generally the pace was much slower and riding much more conservative than you'd get over in Blighty. :)
