Bandit forks

Anyone ever fitted some bandit forks to their curvy?

Looking at the specs, they are the same dia, but the stanchions are slightly longer and the springs are softer ...

I was thinking if I put some stiffer springs (and heavier oil) in then all I need to do is drop the forks through the yokes a bit and I am back to square one ...

Anyone see any problems with this!?!? Or used stock bandit forks in a SV? :)

if all you want to do is put some stiffer springs or heavier oil in them then why not just do that to your sv forks?

Er these are for an SV I am building, so the bike doesn't/didn't have any forks ...

Oh right I see. Ive no idea what you're budget is but why not try and get some kind of usd set up in it?

Well I'm no expert on the matter, but looking at the prices of used bits on ebay you could probably do a gixxer conversion for not much more money.

I already have the bandit forks :) I can get some stock SV springs for almost free ... who wants stock springs?!?!? ;) So it will cost me say £5 for some springs(I got no real problem with stock springs, its the damping that is p00!! ;)) and £10 for a tub of oil .... ... so I estimate ~£20 ...

Also I have come across a lot of 'bent' straight forks and wheels off ebay ... the amount of money I have wasted on stuff that has come through not as described is a joke :cry: ... it makes me very skeptical of buying off ebay ... its full of either really real REALLY stupid people or crooks ...

Currently rebuilding louisas curvy, it's gettin hagon progressives in there for some reason, (not sure of her weight, but not much and I thought the hagons were heavier rate)

However... PM her, stock springs aren't worth a lot so she might let you have them pretty cheap, as they are currently taking up room in my garage.
