Would it be possible for the site to have a non U rated subforum where anything goes? Maybe it could have a further passworded access for those who choose to access it? That way it wouldnt offend those who didnt go in there. After all, we are all adults and as we complain about the government not giving us a choice in things, at least we could make that choice here?

Yeah - but then you get into the whole can-o-worms of disclaimers, checking little boxes to say you are over 18... then there's the whole potential for upsetting people, offending people, having some kid get on there who is underage and their Dad or Mum finds out and even though it's not our fault the whole placed gets drawn into some kind of tarnishing slagging match...

... much easier to nip over to Visordown. ;)

K - this thread clearly states, "men only" I put it to you that you are in fact a woman!

Just thought I'd post in here to feel some of the male cameraderie. I'm not getting anything yet. ... Who wants a beer?

I dont really see your point K. How many let their kids look through this website? If I was under 18, I probably wouldnt be interested.

And besides I dont really like Visordown.

If there was a disclaimer posted on the subforum saying that those easily offended not to view, then Im sure its freedom of choice on whether they wish to engage in those topics of conversation. Im not talking about deeply offensive stuff e.g racist comments however a bit of adult banter on this, an adult motorbike forum surely cant be considered inappropriate?

Could we not have a poll on this on IB to see what the general feeling is?

It's been said before that this isn't a democracy, if we don't like it then we are free to go elsewhere.

I am happy to stay here. I wouldn't want to click a thread on here & get an eyeful of cleavage or rude language - I surf this site at work!

I surf this site at work!

For me, that's the main issue.

Please can someone PM me with the real reason for this thread? I promise to only look at it at home

robchester... the idea of a sub forum has been brought up many times in the past and as has been stated the forum isnt a democracy although input and ideas are always welcomed by your lovely mods.

Also as this site is kept clean I can look at it during work while having lunch...

So I would be no to a Sub forum... I like the 'U' feel here.

That's true, we had a poll and voted against it.

There are bike forums on the internet already for that exact type of content. There are also forums for swinging bikers (and I don't mean swinging from trees). As there are forums for lonely bikers that want to date other lonely bikers.

Ask Stewie, he knows about this stuff. ;) (Just don't tell him I mentionned that )

I rather like the fact that its a U site as it makes it safe to surf at work. But the main reason is it keeps your inuendo brain cells working :D

Let the dog see the rabbit and all that.

Bingo... The u-rating keeps the site stingently work safe, which is good. Personally I couldn't care less if little kiddies surf the site and see something rude, but if the site got banned at work I'd probably have to get another job :compcrash: Course, that's by the by, since the only reason I actually need is that this is how the site admin and owners have always wanted it, and we shoudl respect that, but it also makes sense.

Ahhh now I get it, the U rating of the site means that you can view it at work, as in the filters stop you accessing it. I was just thinking that some people would still attempt the non u rated sub section at work and therefore risk it being nsfw.
